Koal and I met at church a few years ago. We were instant friends and grew closer over time. We both work at our church and the school attached, doing IT, where we make everything to be a two-person job.
Guitar Hero
We wanted to incorporate a few things that were really us. The most memorable thing we incorporated was our mutual love of Guitar Hero! We both grew up playing GH in our families. Neither of us are big dancers, so we wanted options for us and people like us! We were able to set it up for the reception and it was quite a hit! We also used one of Koal’s actual guitar cases for our cards!

They say that your wedding day is supposed to be the best day ever, and they were absolutely right. We had originally started planning for March, so when I was picking colors, I was going full-on Spring blooms. Well, God had different plans and it worked out to where we could get married sooner! A December wedding was not really what I had imagined, but we live in Florida, so it worked anyways! I kept going with the spring vibe and couldn’t have been happier. After a few weeks of FRIGID cold, the weather was beautiful! We had a shower scare that morning but it cleared up so fast. Our day was filled with family, friends, and love. We got to get ready with our besties, and our first look was one of my favorite moments to date.
We chose The Ribault Club because we love the South Georgia/North Florida, historical vibe, kind of like St. Simons Island. Koal and his family are from South Georgia, while I am from Jacksonville. This was a perfect spot to get that coastal vibe, without the St. Simon’s pricetag. We loved the staff at Ribault, and how easy it was to get everything in order.
My bridesmaids wore Mist Blue dresses from Azazie. They were able to pick what style they wanted, which they appreciated. Koal’s groomsman wore navy blue suits from Michael’s Formalwear.

I have always envisioned a spring wedding for myself! It has always been my favorite palette, and we added some green and blue to pull in the marshy colors of the venue and nature around us.
The Tree
I LOVED the way our florist decorated our tree where we held the ceremony. It was so pretty. We also had a ping pong table during the reception! I also loved my signs. My uncle built the structure and Koal and I painted and put them together!

The First Look
Our first look was so sweet. We exchanged our vows and gifts while our friends and family watched from inside. I have never felt so loved and committed to, in my entire life.

The Invitations
As a stationery designer, deciding what to do for my own wedding invitation suite was probably the hardest choice of it all! Everybody assumed that I already knew exactly what I wanted to do, and that was not the case! I went back and forth between so many different designs, patterns, colors, and illustrations. One of my goals was to incorporate the venue and the overall wedding vibe. I struggled for so long but I LOVED how it turned out. My favorite part has to be the liner!
